If your hours were cut and you had a hard time finding another job, what would you do to save money or make extra money? Even worse your starting to get sick and praying its not the virus. People who don't have good paying jobs who make the cut for government assistance is better off then some of us. They have the food stamps, they get private school funding, they get a free cell phone, then of course if a hurricane comes and wipes out their food supply they get money for that and more. After Katrina we filed for money from fema and was turned away. We had damage to our roof , our fence, my fig tree, and of course the food in the fridge. People who didn't have any damage at all got all kind of money. Some people went on a cruise others got married some went and gambled it away. The government works in a funny way. Here we are trying to stay afloat and all of our tax money is going to the people who are barely trying. Go figure.

With my husbands hours being cut from 40 to 32 a week, I am looking for ways to save us more money then before. I heard and read that by unplugging things around your house that you are not using can save you a good amount. Today my mission is to go around my house unplugging things that are not in use. We turned our AC up from 69 to 75 its still cold in our house. We turn off all the lights in the house at night it is so dark and I still can't sleep. Of course trying to make things meet is on my mind. Hubby will go out today to fill out applications for a part time job. I called my old boss but have not heard back from her. They have not been as busy as they were before. If I would get my old job back I would have to consider daycare and then having to unhook 2 carseats everyday which if anyone has a carseat with the latch system knows how much a pain in the butt they are to begin with but unhook and rehook everyday. Is it worth me going to work? Then do I even fit in much of my work clothes anymore. I haven't worked in 4 years. I wear mostly PJ's during the day.

Wow things change so fast. One minute you can make your mind up on something and the next something will change and make it all go away. Jon and Kate plus 8 is so sad. I feel so sorry for both of them and the kids. They have gotten really popular over the past couple of months. I may be extra busy soon. I might have to take a weekend job. Freaking economy needs to hurry up and get better. Not that I mind taking a weekend job but have you seen the paper? There is not much out there. I remember when the job section was pages long and now it was 2 pages and most of it was in medical. Sometimes I wish I could go back and change a couple of things. Like thinking back when we were buying this house. Why didn't I look at the schools then? Oh well everything happen for a reason. Today I have alot of phone calls to make.

My girls are no angels but they have enough respect to not go up and kick anyone when they say goodbye to them. They are still young and could pick up things from what others do and say so I try and keep them away from things like that. I would rather homeschool my kids then them be around kids who get away with that kind of behavior. Just venting. Anyway I had a wonderful Saturday. We celebrated fathers day with my stepdad and grandfather. Almost my whole family was there. We swim then we ate our belly's full of crawfish and crabs then played rummikub. Which is one of my favorite games. It makes you use your head alot. I actually went out twice so I'm getting better at the game. We were suppose to go to a magic show at the library today but we had a late night last night so I don't think the girls will get up anytime soon. This week we will be working on the letter W and I didn't even look at the stuff just yet of what we are going to do. Since we were so busy this weekend so today we might have a day off of school. It is the summer after all. I did see a nice coupon in the paper while flipping through my dads. Koolaid its buy 10 get $2 off which would make it free. I hope I can score some more of those coupons. Stock up on kool aid.
