Yesterday we tried this Chicken Chow Mein for lunch. I liked it. It was cheap, fast and easy to make and had a pretty good taste. If you have some left over chicken it would taste yummy in it. At walmart they are only .50 can't beat that. I will buy this one again. I also bought the shrimp flavor which I will probably try tomorrow.
Last night for dinner I made homemade tortillas. Then warmed up left over red beans and stuck that on there. It was good and filling. These tortillas are also yummy with honey. I like making things from scratch the kids enjoy it and with these I also get a work out in there mixing and then rolling out the dough. Next time I will throw everything in the bread machine to mix it. I guess I will never figure out how people make them into those nice little circles.

Tonight on Bravo channel a new season of Top Chef starts. I like this show but hate it b/c it makes me hungry lol. I try to watch it after I have already eaten and cant eat anymore. 9/8c

The first day of school for most. Make sure you drive careful with all the extra traffic out there. This weekend was pretty fun. Saturday night a big group of us played a game called Banco and had a blast but I think it went on pretty late. People were yawning and trying to stay up to finish playing. Sunday I baked and washed clothes. I dug at the top of my pantry where only someone with a chair can see and I was so excited to find cocoa and what I really got up there for was brown sugar. I made homemade brownies recipe off the box, Chocolate chip cookies recipe off the bag of chocolate chips, I did take some out before I added the chocolate chips and added some baking M&M's which were on clearance at walmart for $1.75. I also baked some bread. Then I needed to sweep my kitchen floor and needed the girls out of the kitchen so I set up a tent using the kitchen table chairs and some sheets. We had fun.

My mom used to tell me all the time think about what your going to say before you say it. Once I told my step dad bye when he said he was leaving after an argument. I got in trouble for saying it. Sometimes people say things that they don't think effects others. When I found out I was pregnant with my second child people told me again, instead of congratulations. Nothing like waking up to a stuffed up nose. The humidity is pretty bad today and is messing with me.

Yesterday I stopped in at Rite Aid. I was able to get the tape dispenser and 2 of the healthy choice meals for .91 plus I will enter the receipt at rite aids website to get back $2.49. I had trouble finding alot of things there and the things that I did find they would not change the price of the coupon for. It seems like they were the coupon police. I may go back b/c I do like their rebate system and the cashiers can't figure that one out while your checking out lol. Even when your making money. We will see what next week brings and until then I will check out their policy and learn a little more about shopping at Rite Aid.



I purchased the Ziti & Meat Sauce fresh mixers. I didn't really care for the taste and after pouring on some sugar it was eatable but I wouldn't eat it again. Not sure how they are saying its so healthy when it is 340 calories. My kids took a bite and left the rest there. We may try a different kind next time around.
