School is right around the corner. My baby girl will be going even if its for a couple of days at first. The years went by so fast. I do want to be involved with the school if she does go, if she doesn't I will be the school. Part of me wants her to go b/c I know she will learn more things by playing and exploring with others but after preschool and kindergarten then I would like to homeschool her. People are so against it. Saying she needs to socialize with other kids but when I was in that same school she will be going to. We were always told to be quiet, put our finger on our lips and fold the other arm. Even during lunch we were not allowed to speak and then they took our recess away so when do you have time to socialize? Then there are the class clowns that take away from your childs time of learning. So how and where is the best place for your child to learn? If I do homeschool my kids they will be in different things to get a chance to socialize with other kids. I planned on putting them in cheerleading, maybe girl scouts, of course t-ball, Katie wants to try out soccer and see if she likes it. With homeschooling they won't have as much homework as they would if they went to school so we would have time to do all those other things. While still learning. There are aslo homeschooling groups that get together and do activities to socialize and projects.

I usually don't mention sales with coupons from the newspaper but this deal is pretty awesome. The week of 8/2 CVS will be having a sale on Electrasol2/$9.There are coupons out there for $2.50/1. You will need 5. You buy 5 electrasols total comes out to $22.5 - $12.5 coupons =$10 out of pocket. You will get $10 ECB back when you spend $20 so free. That will be 100 dishwasher runs. You can try ebay but be warned everyone is searching for these coupons. Which means prices for them will be higher. If you don't want to do that deal and you do find these coupons. At walmart they are on roll back and you can get them for $1.06 after coupon. Better hurry last time they rolled the price up once they found out we were buying all of them. Good luck.

I found this neat little website that would help me with homeschooling. It gives a list of factories that you can go and tour. Factory Tours USA. Even if its not in your state if you go on vacation it would be nice to see how a factory runs.

Last night a new show came on called The Colony. They take these people and put them in a situation to see how they can make it and start over after a wide spread virus killed everyone else around. There is a nurse, a machinist, marine scientist, a doctor, a contractor, a computer engineer, a martial arts instructor, solar tech, Aerospace engineer, mechanical engineer. What kind of skills would you be able to bring to the table?

Yesterday I made my potato cakes and the girls loved them. It was so easy. I will do it again.

Catch up time. I know I haven't been doing too well with posting. I've been pretty busy. Yesterday I spent most of the day cooking and cleaning. I made some homemade bread this is my main bread recipe. You can add many things(herbs, cheese) to this bread to make it different. I made it into rolls this time. It seems to keep longer then a loaf will. I also made some donut muffins they are pretty good and will go well with my coffee. Not that I need them. The girls also enjoyed them. I also made some homemade mashed potatoes so I can try out a recipe on potato cakes. I did get a chance to watch a show that I have been trying to catch Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime. Just noticed online they have where you can watch it. Its a pretty cute show. If you have the time you should check it out. This past weekend I did get to go dumpster diving. I found 3 coupons for the free batteries woohoo. I went to CVS which are still out of scissors. I was able to pick up a binder, 2 packs of paper, 2 cups of cheerios, and the CVS pantiliners all free. At walmart I got my bill to drop from $205 to $169 which wasn't too bad since we had to get diapers, and wipes. There is not much going on out there, lets see what I can dig up.

gamehouse game of the day is Mushroom Age its like a seek and find and a puzzle. Its ok but I got bored with it after a while. Same old game as everything else out there. You might like it more then I did.

Weekend July 17-20, 2009

I am jumping for joy over here. Hubby was suppose to have the day off today due to the new hours. He has to work. Sure I would love to spend more time with him but our bills won't allow it. Katie and I made some homemade tortillas yesterday. I didn't use the recipe that I mentioned yesterday even though I probably should of. You had to let the dough sit alot but they were pretty good. No they were not perfect circles like at Chevy's. They have a machine that flattens them. My kids ate almost all of them. Hubby ate 2 when he got home from work. With me baking more lately I searched and found this very interesting website called Hillbilly Housewife you will have to scroll down to get to the information. It says they are working on the page right now. I might try a couple of their recipes. I do hope everyone has a nice weekend.
