School is right around the corner. My baby girl will be going even if its for a couple of days at first. The years went by so fast. I do want to be involved with the school if she does go, if she doesn't I will be the school. Part of me wants her to go b/c I know she will learn more things by playing and exploring with others but after preschool and kindergarten then I would like to homeschool her. People are so against it. Saying she needs to socialize with other kids but when I was in that same school she will be going to. We were always told to be quiet, put our finger on our lips and fold the other arm. Even during lunch we were not allowed to speak and then they took our recess away so when do you have time to socialize? Then there are the class clowns that take away from your childs time of learning. So how and where is the best place for your child to learn? If I do homeschool my kids they will be in different things to get a chance to socialize with other kids. I planned on putting them in cheerleading, maybe girl scouts, of course t-ball, Katie wants to try out soccer and see if she likes it. With homeschooling they won't have as much homework as they would if they went to school so we would have time to do all those other things. While still learning. There are aslo homeschooling groups that get together and do activities to socialize and projects.

I found this neat little website that would help me with homeschooling. It gives a list of factories that you can go and tour. Factory Tours USA. Even if its not in your state if you go on vacation it would be nice to see how a factory runs.

Last night a new show came on called The Colony. They take these people and put them in a situation to see how they can make it and start over after a wide spread virus killed everyone else around. There is a nurse, a machinist, marine scientist, a doctor, a contractor, a computer engineer, a martial arts instructor, solar tech, Aerospace engineer, mechanical engineer. What kind of skills would you be able to bring to the table?

Yesterday I made my potato cakes and the girls loved them. It was so easy. I will do it again.
